e30 steering coupling

hi all....bought an e30 steering column/coupling today. brought back home and noticed its bit different from the one in my car.have attached the pics. pls advice whether can be fix or not....thanks

It looks to me like it's the same, just that it didn't come with part #2 in the diagram which I believe is the heatshield to protect the rubber coupling from the engine bay heat.

and this has the "pin" at the rubber coupling insteed of nut like the one with the heatshield....

by looking at it, feel like bit shorter also.... maybe yes, maybe not

will try to remove the one in my car and compare both....

careful, might be a left hand drive coupling... the teeth is different....

but looks the same as the others....
