e30 rear passenger window motor

could anyone tell me which chop shops i can go to to look for e30 parts? i just got my hands on one and i need to get some second hand parts, specifically a rear window motor, and probably window switches and new odo/speedometer. I live in the Damansara area so anyone who knows which chops shops are good/trustworthy pls pm me!thanks

lol what i did was buy the part brand new..chop shop dunno la how long it will last so i bought brand new..apparently Pussy knows a lot about chopshops,so PM him la

How much did it cost you for the new rear passenger window motor? Mine also kaput both sides.

Or can swap to old skool hand winding mechanism (more reliable i reckon)? Views anyone?

motor is RM500+ but have to order not many fellas stock it here. best bet is to get from chop shop or dont bother repair rear one...hahaha end of the day who gonna use the rear window

Just note that there are several types of lifter for your rear window and each uses different types of motors. There is the cable version and the moving frame version

Power window motor cost around 200++ but must order,if u get in chop shop their sell the motor with regulator around 300++, u can try ketuk the motor bcoz some time the motor just stuck little bit...

i need one too , mine rear left side motor can't work. I already give hard knock but still fail. Mine is M40 318i 1991.

Assuming the switches are ok, wait for night and press the power window switch. If the lights dim that means there is power going to the motor. Then try servicing the motor as per the link below. If the motor still doesn't work then change the thing.

Thanks Bro just came across this topic mine drivers side and rear left carput too, will try and see if that works. Actually a little extra work probably can work out.
