E30 mileage meter problem

hi guys, my speedo meter works but not the mileage and the trip meter too...any ideas on how to correct the fault?

Should be your mileage gears.....RM100++ remedy. Make sure its VDO or Motometer though

Bought the gears and DIY about 3-4 years ago... Still working fine....

if the gear thread still ok, then maybe it's just the gear crack causing the gear to slip.. if that's your case, then all you need is some glue to hold the gear back in position to the shaft...

if your gear teeth all sudah patah, then sorry lah babe... you have to get new gears to replace it...

i'm working on it also coz all my gear no more gigi... maybe can find some at the tamiya shop where they sell "upgrade" kits for the model cars...

How u make sure it has the right number of teeth??? anyway, u can probably bump up the speed.. hehehe.. showing 240kph while doing 140....

mine is VDO and where could I possibly do that? if i want to DIY what should I first...thanks...

I got my Motometer gears from First Division. Don't think it's made by BMW.. More like they had it made in volume locally.

But I recalled Bavarian Auto used to sell the VDO gearings.
