E30 Meter cluster

Last time i bought e30 meter from ebay. The seller told me that it can be used for the whole range of e30 model. I am currently using it now. However Recently i just found out that each model of e30 (318, 320, 323, 325) have different type of meter. Want of the difference that i know is the red mark for the rpm meter.Anyone know in details about this?What i know for 325, the redmark start at 6250, but the one i'm using start at 6000. Do i using the right one? Any opinion.
