E30 fuel meter

I'm facing a prob with my E30 fuel meter, whenever i fill up a full tank, the meter indicator will not raise to the max (which is 55)..have u guys faced any of this prob and how can it be overcome?Btw, is there any indication if the fuel is running low other than the fuel meter?pls advice..tqcheers

ok..i had consulted my mech bout this issue and he say he will check it for me if we can find the time to do so..
