It can come off easily if the metal clips are aledi weak... Mine oso flew off before.... Fortunately managed to find at the chop shop... Put in new clips.. and now it's so secured, wanna remove also difficult...

bro... in your case... nothing to do with theft or faulty clips... most probably your car was moving too fast... heheheh....
