Most places simply set toe to zero and no camber adjustments - grr!

Where can i get alignment specs for my E46?

Surely not in this section where its a E30 thread. Re-post ur question in the E46 thread and maybe you get more response and your answer.

Just an idea, cant we elongate the three bolt holes sideway to achieve the desired camber? Wouldnt that serve the purpose too? I believe the readings are in mm right? So, filing off a few mm shouldnt hurt and cost much less.. Anyway just an idea

alan,

are you talking of any adjustable top mount for the front suspension? you can elongate but you need to make sure your 3 bolts can take all the pounding from the road without moving.....btw, you can buy such top mounts already butu you need make sure your absorber is suited for that too. we are talking about degrees.....so if you are mms off - your tyre shop will love your constant business.

well looking at the direction of force, there no lateral force so i doubt that the bolt going to move anywhere. there is no force.. only moment . therefore with self locking washer or flange nut, that will not move.

if we are able to put a weight line next to the tyres, then we can measure the camber to the exact mm much more accurate then any tyre shop because who can be sure of the calibration of teh machine in tyre shop?? i doubt anyone has actually calibrated their machine from the day 1 they use it..

back to basic with weight and strings, gravity cannot change.
