I've been quiet for some time now, which was mostly due to getting my life in order... settling down to married life, change of job, have a house to upkeep now so the UDM's been neglected for a long time. It was starting to show its age too, so I thought enough is enough and time to do some refurbishing before it rots to waste.
The hood was bubbling up, so it had to be sanded down to bare metal.
Rear driver's side door had a corner that rusted to a biscuit, so it was cut out and fresh steel was grafted on.
Various rust spots sanded down to bare metal and filled with brass. This process is called brazing in old school terms.
Here's the monster... a massive hole found behind the rear bumper. Didn't know it was there till the bumper came off.
