Sifu2 semua,Can the RIMS interchangable between E28, E24, E34, and E39? Do we need to insert or remove the spacer? If yes which one need? Can the E36/E46 Rims interchangable with E28, E34, and E39? So far I have no problem with E39 and E24, but wondering..... thanks for sharing.. A few got into wheel vibrations on 80KM/H... it must be something with the spacer or on-wheel balancing??Salam...

Centerbore sizes are different. If I remember, E36 and E46 are 72.6mm while E34 and E39 is 74.1mm.
Suitable offsets are different too I think.

As i know, the only e39 center bore is 74.1mm, others are 72.6mm.

I've used E46 rims on my previous E34 before. Can fit except offset slightly different (can't remember the number) so I had to put 15mm spacers for the front (18x8). The rear was fine (18x9).

so fa defintely E39 with bigger bore, but was told E46 also same with E39, while the rest is smaller, so, you will not find it lose as the gap is so small, except when you get wobbling at 80KM/H after wheel balancing, the first thig to check is the centre cone gap, most tire shop might not even aware of that tiny space, but having that small cone insert does solve the problem of vibration in most cases..

NO.................

E39 and E46 having different bore size

E39 74.1mm

E46 72.6mm

Since e39 bore is bigger, has anyone used e46 rims by skimming the rims bore ?
Is this do-able ?

I wouldn't encourage machining the rims bore's diameter or any other dimensions on a given wheel....just my 2cents.
