my rh front window suddenly stuck half way down.kenot wind up/down.opened up and removed item 2(power window motor with attached gearing) from item 1 (window lift mechanism).but item 1 must be removed from the door in order to fit item 2.i detached the motor from the gear mechanism (the round thingy) and found that the carbon brushes were in good shape and the motor runs when powered.it turns out that the gearing mechanism (round thingy) has 3 of it's gear teeth broken(internal) and that bits of it is dislodged,jamming the gear movement.bought a used unit (item 2) for rm180 and refitted everything and now smooth as silk.ps. on hindsight,i reassembled the old motor/gear mechanism and it still works but not too smoothly due to the broken gears.amazing that this german engineering lasts 16 years...unlike you know who lar.... :yes:
