Hi all sifus out there,Popped out for a quick lunch take out, after parking, when I opened the driver's door, I felt something snap and the handle is all loose. The next thing is I'm trap in the car :( I have to open the door from the outside handle. (not sure what exactly we shud call this? :dunno: )Q1: Can any accessories shop repair this? If can typical cost?Q2: Is there a manual or instruction somewhere to guide us how to disassemble the door card and repair? Appreciate your help!Cheers, geo

Experienced something worse.... in my ex-E36. Cannot open the driver's door - from both inside and outside. :beaten: Luckily my mech managed to take out the door panel out, how he did it is a wonder in itself. Then he had to get a body panel beater to beat the crap out of the faulty door locking mechanism. I had to get a second-hand door locking mechanism after that. :beaten:

In your case, it could just be a matter of dislodged / broken lever. At least you can still open your door from the outside. But better get your mech to check it out. Cuts out all the hassle, bitching and moaning on our part....

Try this link if you still want to DIY....
