Hey guys,Just wondering if anyone knows of a good paintshop in KL/PJ or even Klang..A really good and professional one.. Planning to get some custom work done on my E60 so it would be good if they could do custom fibre work as well and then paint it.Would appreciate any reccomendations. Thanks alot!

Batu Caves. They were AB and Cartrade contractor but since AB has their own paint booth, they do mostly Cartrade car. I think they only do paint job and not custom fiber work.

That might void your AB warranty

Where is this place? Might be interested...can PM me the number?

I think the warranty should be fine.

Ive spoken to a few people and its just body work i suppose for now.

I dont see a reason why it could cause an inherent damage to other parts on the car... Not yet.. :D

So anywhere good?

Haha...
Thanks once again

Like I said, check out the warranty fineprint first. Hearing from this person and that person doesn't constitute research. Try swapping your E60 rims and see what AB says about your warranty.
It's your car anyways...

macdude: Thanks alot for the warning.

Appreciate it dude and i have managed to locate my warranty terms and conditions and have been able to garner an agreement and also interpret for myself the fact that something is not warrantable only if something was changed that had a direct or indirect connection to the faulty part.

Having said that, there are horror stories on this forum and it fits in with what i mentioned above.

Ie: Window motors not fixed under warranty when people tint their cars.

Well you can't exactly say that tinting is not directly or even indirectly related to your window motor right?

The tint shop could have let some water drip in through the inside and damage the motor or etc etc. So fair enough.

Even to the extent of changing your bumpers, when you swap out the PDC sensors into the new bumper, they might not give you warranty for your i-drive. Why? Probably because the PDC sensors are connected to the i-drive and your swapping it out might have short circuited the damn thing.

Highly unlikely but yet possible.

Im just doing some minor minor body work on the bottom of my existing bumper. No removing anything. Just abit of cutting and patching.

If they dont want to warranty my paint job, nothing i can do i guess.

Haha... As long as it doesnt involve 1. i-Drive, 2. Gearbox and 3. Engine.

Im fine. Those things i cant afford to replace myself. *knocks on wood.*

Best Regards
Kenny
