Hi All,

I have an F20, where its windscreen got some tiny cracks due to some stones. I've sent it for repair nearby my place earlier today, but weren't satisfy with the results. I had previous experience with windscreen repair which leaves almost invisible mark to the windscreen.

Anyone here can recommend a good windscreen repair specialist who can help me fix it up.

I'm from Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam btw.

Thanks

Cracks longer than an inch are difficult at best to repair. Depending on the severity, some places I.e. Honest ones will let you know up front and caution you of the possible result.

Chips smaller than a 10 sen coin have a better chance for 'unblemished' repair results.

Just take note that a small chip untreated could morph into a crack 15 inches long within a few days!

There should be several 'doctor cermin' advertised in the yellow pages.

I'm just sharing an experience I had unfortunately earlier this year. I was lucky to have had a buddy of mine who had imported a 1/2 cut with the front shields intact. I bought the piece off him together with the windshield cowl as a set

Hi,

Yup, my cracks were pretty small (1.5 cm each) and I did sent it to some dr cermin, but the job done was not satisfactory as I could still see marks as big as a marker dot on the crack patches.

Hmmm, just wondering if there's any recommended repair shops that I can go to, to fix it properly.

Hmmm

In that case, it was poor workmanship!

Where are you at?

I do not have any references for that neck of the woods. Sorry - perhaps someone within your hood my be able to help.

Anyways, since it is relatively a still small chip, I believe the Dr Chermin lads may be able to re-drill to a slightly larger hole and re-patch using their 'magic' fluid. Best to leave the new patch overnight for optimal curing imo.

Good luck n let us know how you fair.

No prob man, I found one in puchong recommended by a fren, might just go for that.

Cheers

Remember to get it cured sufficiently. 24 to 48 hours should be ok. Longer bettering suppose.

is your insurance expiring soon? if yes then you could add on windscreen coverage. pay about rm550-650 to get around Rm3k+ coverage,
note that it wont effect your NCD.

after 3 months u could claim.

sometime back I repaired with Glass Doctors. Not too sure about their lifetime warranty yet because so far my repair is doing well. Call the lady 012-2087979 and check
