Hi,My rear right side tyre has been experiencing air pressure lost and I had to refill the air every few days. Then suddenly yesterday it was completely flat... brought it to the tyre shop and discovered there's a screw stuck to the tyre. it was a RM5 job and I went home happily thinking the problem is over. This morning when going out to buy breakfast, it went flat again. Another visit to the tyre shop, they discover there's actually a crack on the side (inside) of the rim and air is coming out from it. They said they can send the rim for welding which will last for a while but I have to leave the car for the whole day since they don't have spare 20" rim for loan. They have no idea yet how much would it cost since the welding shop is close today (Sunday). My question : 1. Any reliable place I can send the rim to be welded? Btw, I'm in Kajang.2. How long will the weld last?3. If I need to replace just one rim, where can I get the exact same one like the pix attached?View attachment 29696

Encountered almost same probs last Night...mine i kena pot hole...but wheels not cracked until Air pressure lost...but Wheel badly dented, so they need to weld and Polish back...sent to Sunway and they gave me Spare 20" to Loan...but car also cannot drive as different types of wheels...

A car dealer friend recommended me to a place in Taman Maluri which so far is nearest to my place. Went there yesterday but they don't have spare 20" tyre to loan. I'm thinking of removing the tyre and putting it in my other car but then the damn car don't even come with jack & tyre wrench.

I looked at my other car's jack (Honda Insight)... it's too small and I don't know whether it can hold an F07 for whole day and the %$#@ wrench can't fit the nuts as BMW's nuts are smaller.

Another issue is that I saw that the jack points on the BMW is made of plastic (similar to these : http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=370751). Do we need to buy an adapter for them so the jack won't damage them? If yes, where can I get hold of them here?

So what is your Plan B now? I think you should plan to send it to a Shop that you Trust where they will Jack up your Car and put the 'A' stand, then leave it there until your Wheel is done...this is my suggestion bro since non-of the Shop's seems to have 20" Wheels to loan.

Went to buy a 2-ton mini floor jack at Carrefour and a wrench with 17mm socket this afternoon. I chose the more more expensive wrench which has telescopic arm for better leverage but the socket was damaged just after loosening 2 nuts... €¥¥%#%. Had to go to a DIY shop near my place and luckily I managed to get a replacement socket. As for the plastic jack point, thank god there's some wooden plank around my house so using a jigsaw, I managed to made a temporary adapter which I slot it inside the jack point. I've loosened all the nuts but have not removed the tyre yet as I'm planning to send it tomorrow morning. Meanwhile I've tested leaving the jack lifting the car for a few hours to see if it can hold. Well I hope it will hold for at least whole day tomorrow but I'm going to stack some wooden planks underneath the wheel plate just in case. Wish me luck.
