cracked carbon fibre clear resin gel coat

hey guys, got a carbonfibre component that has a crack on its clear resin gel coat due to prolonged exposure to the elements. anyone knows if its repairable? can the crack be sanded off and with a new coat of resin applied and finally polish to a as good as new state?appreciate any help i can get. THANKS guys

I'll need to see the problem to before I can tell u if it's repairable coz my co. manufactures cf parts. Can you post a pic here?
