Guys, this is what my uncle told me....

model 520 with non-vanos
may be the serial no - Bosch 0261200172
made in Germany
another serial - WBEUF2FFKR 1730172
and there is a word MOTRONIC

This is a 520i 12V motronic ECU. Certain 520i 12V comes with 173 ECU (compared to yours which is 172) and also used for the 525i 12V.

No offence, but this 172 ECU is pretty much worthless, the 173 is more valuable! :yes:

The 24V non vanos will have this last 3 digits 403 whilst the vanos equipped unit is 413.
