Cobra alarm no sound when armed.

Following a thorough air-cond service recently, the alarm was "sounding off" normally when switched on.But today, it was silent when armed. Battery is less than 2 months old. all doors and bonnet were locked down.any clues?

If memory serves me right, there should be a beeper beside the main alarm unit, this thingy makes the beeping sound whenever the alarm is armed, could be the air cond fella knocked the connection loose.

was told by another BMW owner that the sound was diabled after the car battery was disconnected for the air-cond works.


now need to get the Cobra people to reset the code. how is that done btw?


anyone went thru that before?

Perhaps you could let the guys at the TTDI Cobra Centre have a look at the car.. I'm sure they could sort it out in a jiffy...

Yep. Good suggestion. I had problems with mine when we first got the car. They sorted it in a couple of hours..., didn't want to be paid also. Now, that's CSR...but gave the guys some money for tea lah. "Pai seh" otherwise...
