Check coolant

Last night driving home, got the "Check coolant level" message from the OBC. Water temp guage is at mid-point.After car cooled down, I checked the level, it is normal (always been that level all the time). Just to be safe, filled up the tank (bled it as well). This morning arrived at office, message came on again. I'll check the radiator later but I do not think it is low. No signs of leaking either.could this be a sensor problem?
