Cheapest way to IMPROVE acceleration

hey guys,i'm driving E28 525i.. My car has a poor acceleration.. the acceleration was quite heavy actually.. anyone has any idea how to improve it?wat should i do with it? upgrades? mods?cheers

if you just want better pick-up....
just change the rear tires to a smaller rolling diameter.

just a simple modification... anything that can improve the acceleration..
probably below 2k..
