if I were you change the mechanic... after changing so many parts also cannot start. He should refund you for the parts that were not needed. It means the problem was not diagnosed properly.

thanks for reply...

humm.... AFM? is it the sensor unit located at the air filter box? the unit already replaced by my mechanic. initially, the mechanic thaught that is the problem, but replacing the unit did not cure my car.

firing order is correct, even the timing chain have been check and re-check to ensure that is is correct.

what can cause the spark plugs to go hairwire?

i read somewhere on the internet that u can use the ECU unit to pinpoint the engine problem, is it true? where can i get that kind of service here in klang valley?

btw, i love bmw..... we all do.

YES....Thats call BMW Diagnostic Tools.:D

You still need a mechanics to do handle the tools. Ask for a device named MODIC. I &II
Not here...we can help much by replying here. Dun go for the Taiwanese/Korean...its good but not good enuff.:D

hi... iam a happy man... my e30 finally started. many2 thanks for everyone that replied... the real culprit was the crank shaft sensors, very hard to find the replacement. the unit cost me rm380 second hand, reasonable enough i think. but because the car havent been started for a while, other parts have to be change to... the fuel pump cost me rm580 new.... and the flexible inlet tubing from the air box to the throttle body cost me rm180 for the original item... i was thingking of writing the complete list of parts replaced including with the price just for reference but i lost the receipt somewhere... have tried for days but still couldnt find it... anyway, the total cost of the repair is rm2900 for engine parts only and another rm1k + for exterior.... my friend said its not worth it, better change to RB20 skyline engine... huhu... are they right?

anyway, once i find the receipt i ll copy and post it here... now the car is in the bodyshop... iam going to repaint the car white, which should cost me rm1.5k +...

now there is only one things needed,
-anyone know where can i find a cheap bodykit for my e30? its a 2 door model... anyone have second hand?

ooh.. another white E30. Welcome welcome. Well, the money you spend should keep you running and it will be a reliable workhorse for many years to come. ;)
