can E36 (A) convert the auto box from E60?

hi alljust wan to askif we got E36 autocan we convert to the auto gearbox from E60 (that have 6 speed selection)i feel it sound like stupid questionbut i just curiousand i have not much knowledge on thisthanks in advance

IM, heard of this being done in our neighbouring countries.

Sam, you should find out more about the ZF 5 speed GB for the e36. Best bet for a GB upgrade. Very smooth shifting & enables better FC

the money u going to spend might be enuf for u to buy another E36 ......

1st ....u need to know wat is ur car power ???? either u need such conversion ???? worth it or not ???? workable or not ?????

if u really like it .......just buy an E36 M3 evo SMG 1 halfcut and convert to ur car .....

ur car now is 318 manual, rite ???? I think tis is d best for u to maintain d car power .......

Convert ur 318 to auto will cause u car bcome underpower.........if u want to drive auto , sell ur 318 and get 328 auto instead ......

+/- function ???????? As many said ....depend how deep is ur pocket ......nothing is impossible .................

but for me .......my advice is sell ur E36 and get e46 instead which got d function tat u want cos then cost u going to spend for those kind of conversion might be end up wit an E46 ..........

in tat case .........

Buy one 328 auto ...............Most of them are CKD wit 4 speed GM box .....CBU normaly is ZF 5 speed ......

If d gearbox kong ....then convert to Jatco 5 speed ......im sure u'll like d power tat d car deliver ..............

Bro curiosity must also back up by strong interest & money. By yr question seems that u hv big budget for big & rare project. Any mod must take consideration not only on whether it can be done but also on future reliability & maintenance. U hv to set a target of on what u want & also the budget. For me for E36 if u want power & reliability go for manual. If you practicality & lil excitement 5 speed auto will be enuff provided its 325 or 328. Again playing wt BMW its not cheap. For me I always stick to ori set up or mod within the same model for less headache & trouble.
If u really interested & serious just join any BMW TT & ask those sifus. Cheers.
