Hi sifus

I am planning to get an e46 with the mileage of 150k -100k within the next 3 months, i spend some time around here already but wanted to know for sure what to replace when I got my car.

What parts should i change and should i get OEM or Aftermarket or Used parts.

Thanks

First, try to look for 6 cylinder models (320 or 325). 4 cylinders model tend to have engine problem, especially with the car mileage and years of usage so high.
For part replacement, I would say OEM is a better choice with equivalent quality and also lower price. In fact, I don't think there's much component that is made by BMW itself, most of them are supplied by OEM supplier with the BMW chop on it. The question is which OEM is the better choice among the selection. Well, personnel suggestion is try to source the part from Bavaria Auto, trusted quality with most of the parts offered at lower price compare to other dealer.

Overall, be prepared to budget at least RM10K for the refurbishment.

Good luck & happy hunting.

Actually I am planning to get a 328, no point driving 4cyl anyways since 6cyl is what BMW shines. TBH is RM5k refurbishment budget enough for the first 6 month upon buying the car ?
