Vincent ... I'm no expert la. The real Grand Master of ICE is missing!
Burn ... you can look at some of these brands for some ideas - Alpine, Boston, CDT, Dynaudio, DLS, Eton, Focal, Genesis, Helix, Hertz, JL Audio, Morel, MB Quart, Phass, PHD, RS Audio, SEAS Lotus and etc. I believe that most of us here are using atleast one of the above or have done so in the past However, it's hard for us to tell you exactly what will appeal to you as IMO, speaker selection and preference is very subjective and differs from individual to another. The best thing to do is to hear a few models / range for yourself since you're spending some big money on these. Remember, what appeals to me may or may not be your cup of tea so ideally, trust you ears more than anything else.
I have not made any reference to the age ol US brands like Rockford, Soundstream, Lanzar, Lightning, PPI and etc mainly due to the fact that they don't quite appeal to me and it's getting hard to verify their authencity these days. BTW, the Alpine sub above is the new Type R mid range model from Alpine. Good stuff for the money but it will need a powerful amp to drive it and a well built enclosure to sound its best.
Good luck.

VaN.
