Actually, did you ask the tech , if he beds the brake pads after he installed it ?.
Some shops do not bed the pads and let you drive away. The correct procedure of bedding the pads is as follows:
1) Find along stretch of road with no cars. Drive to 100 Kph.
2) Brake to about 20 kph. Do not stop. Lift off the brakes and do this again.
3) DO it 3 times and you are ok. The brakes and wheels will smell bad or may even smoke after that procedure. But its bedded after this. So after market pads needs longer time to settle down after the bedding procedure. A week will do.
PS: 3 years ago, I had Pagib blues, I overdid the bedding. Did it SIX times in succession, until smoke came out of the pads. Still those pads lasted me almost 3 years.
