G'Day,Just wanna share my previous experience. Bout a month ago, I was encountering this problem. My brake pedal got stiff/hard to press, making it very difficult to brake. It will stop, but just takes more energy and more time. Its like when the car is not started, u keep pressing the brake, it'll only get harder, right? Well, its like that.Anyway, had several mechs looked at her, and had different views. Some say its the servo (the black round shape located on the right side closest to the windscreen), some say its the hose valve. But eventually, I took her to MSpeed. Ah Meng did some checking with his sources and suggest I have the vacuum pump or servo pump changed. He strictly said its base on trial and error, hence, goods sold is not returnable. I agreed as I somehow had confident in him. The pump is located right below the aircon filter attaching itself to the engine cost RM750 and RM50 for labour. His guys took bout 1/2 hour to get the job done. Now, the problem is fixed and of course to thanks to MSpeed/Ah Meng. For those who is encountering this problem, hope this helps.Cheers!

wow, good for you cause you are lucky. a rm800 trial and error and some more not returnable... thats really risky

Well I had to do something. Since most mech is only pin pointing the problem, this fella did some survey with his sources (AB, I think), and found that this was the part most changed due to similar problem like mine. So, in a way, its a calculated risk.

Also, changing this part was the cheapest. Apparently, the hose cost much more. Am just starting with the cheapest and part most changed. And I guess lady luck was on my side that day too... ;)
