My brake pads sensor just light up this morning?? The last I change them was in 2008.. Is it normally wears off in 2 years?Any suggestion of what pads to change and what is the estimate costs.. currently am using Jurid.

2 years is okay for normal driving. i finish mine sooner :) plenty of brands for various applications out there, but you can't go wrong with original BMW pads. call any of the jln ipoh shops.

The last time I change my mechs charge me

for Jurid

Frt RM350
Rear RM320

Is that price ok or on the high side? This exclude labour and just the parts

Can anyone tell me what is the brand for original BMW. Is there any difference between that and Jurid?

Jurid was one of the OEM for BMW brakes in Malaysia. Now the E90 OEM are using Textar.. quality same same la! :D Guarantee car will stop.. :p

Better change it ASAP. I had mine worn so bad my disc were bend. Cost me almost 2k plus including brake pads. And always go for BMW original parts, cheap aftermarket brake pads wear fast, produce lots of brake dust and not exactly the best in terms of braking performance which later on will cost more to replace. Im speaking from my experience.

Dunno about E46 but the E90 are using both contact trigger and kilometerage count down. The latter I find not reliable, I only trust visual inspection, which is easy on the BMW because all big big rims, can peep through..

Original is Textar with a BMW logo. Go for the original as the braking feel is different from even the OEM Textar or Jurid.

RM180 for disc brake? my brake pads cost more than your disc.

I just changed mine at MSpeed last July.

FR Brake pads (Textar) + Labour RM160.00 :top:

Additional RM45 if need to change sensor.

There are many options for you to choose from and depand on your driving style, std go for standard lo, aggressive go for better OEM,

ATE / OEM - RM180 - same as the ori no problem for normal driving and no worried for noise, very dusty

EBC Black (UK)- RM280 - for sure better than the ATE and ORI in terms / better buy for me, less dust

TEXTAR - RM180 - same performance but the it may caused some noise sometimes

BENDIX utimate (Australia) - RM260 - better then bendix standard replcement , better than ATE
