hi guys..i need advice from anyone who knows. I need to send in my e90 under warranty to check on loud noise from the rear brakes when applied. like a metal hitting metal. I had Ingress have a look last time but frankly i dont have the confidence to leave my car there as the boys (yes they're young) had no clue what to look for. All that the guy at the service area can tell me was they need a few days to look into it. and he seemed reluctant to take my car in. it was a saturday. Is Segambut AB ok? any recommendations? thanks in advance

Too bad.recently, I sent my car to ingress, opp tabung haji. they replaced my engine oil with petronas syntium oil. Feel a bit under power. few things i complaint, but still not done yet. What a big upset!

Sent mine in couple of weeks ago to ingress for the same reasons. They replaced my rear brake disc and pads. Best to make an appointment on weekdays. Dropped my car off at 11am on a monday and picked it up the following morning. they did an oil change, replaced wiper blades and couple of other minor things too.

thanks for the info. actually the noise is not the usual brake noise when its worn out. i could see the whole unit (disc and caliper) moving as the brake is applied. only the rear brakes. the noise is like a loud 'thud'. hope they can fix it. i sent it in today, Ingress as its just 10mins from my house. i made sure the service manager had a look at it.
no loaner cars :(

I used to have the same problem with yours. the 'metal hitting metal' sound is very annoying. SA in autobavaria sg. besi said it is due to the rims. Sound ridiculous though. At that time I'm using 19" original Breyton Flame rims. But after I changed the rims, the sound disappeared. A mystery then :stupid:
Maybe u shud check on your rims...

there were about 5 guys looking at the car while its jacked up. they were still scratching their heads. i'm expecting to pick up the car tomorrow. fingers crossed man. lucky under warranty.

DAMNIT!! STILL NOT DONE YET. 3 days already, with no courtesy car! the worse thing is i dont think they know what they are doing!!! i'll give them another day, after that i'm taking my car out!

ok took my car this morning. problem identified (after merry go round of checking driveshaft/axle/replacing caliper). its the trailing arm of right rear wheel suspension. loose. I'm thinking, isnt that the first place to look at when caliper is loose? Anyway, will drive the car a few days and pray that it doestn come back!! no charge, warranty issue. phew!!!
