Brake fluid service

hi sifus...yesterday my idrive tell me to service the brake fluid (service due). what does this mean? is it serious or it just let you know the service interval? because its stated the date as well - 7/2011.need some info before send to mechanic...

yeah.... gotta flush the brake fluid every 2 years..... I think ab charged me around RM100.....
