Anyone know where I can get some for my E34 M50B20? Preferably Ampang, Pandan, PJ, USJ. Tried Suan Huat and my mechanic and they don't have. They only have the 'two legged' one. Many thanks.

Bosch supplyer next to Ampang point, corner shop, around 200 rm. Was just there last week, plenty of stock..

Repco (M) Sdn Bhd. Lot 37666 Jalan 3/37A Taman Bukit Maluri Industrial Park Kepong 52100 Kuala Lumpur. they carry a wide range of bosch sparkplug and they are one of the major distributor in malaysia

A special electrode configuration can reduce misfiring and the voltage needed to fire the plugs. But the spark only ignites what is already in the combustion chamber. If there are any power gains to be had, they will be the result of reduced misfires and nothing else. "

I would save some money to get something cheaper : v-power NGK. And replace more often. Is easier to find too

From what I'd observed, Bosch Super 4 is easily available in the mass. Cost ranging from rm12-rm18 depending on location.

maz, thanks. I actually dropped by that shop during lunch yesterday and got 6 biji from them. You live in Ampang area?

turbo, I actually wanted to change the plugs because of a previous issue with some misfiring no intention to get more power. Fully agree with you that the plugs can only reduce problems, if any.

I actually posted my problems on another thread and teejay suggested changing the rubber boots below the coils and that cured the misfire but whenever the engine was hot there seemed to be less power so he suggested changing the plugs as well.

Was looking around and the Super 4's looked pretty good so though I'd give them a try. Not tooooo expensive. So far so good. Misfire and any hesitation is gone. Waiting to try out on a hot day to find out if the plugs were causing a loss in power.

are 4 legged plugs better than single leg plugs?

Just more potential for the spark to jump across the +ve and -ve electrode.

Don't we all NA have the same issue :D Is due to hot air built up in engine bay, and intake manifold getting hotter.
Everything 10F increase in intake air temperature, is almost equal to lost of 1% horsepower.
Hopefully you can find your lost power with new fresh plugs.
May the boost....well, cold air, be with you :D :D

Debateable. But as far as I know, none race team endorse +4 plugs.
And I remember you run SuperCharge. So forget about it. Plantinum will melt on you :)

i read in an article before, there is a reason why BMW recommend to use 4 electrod instead of single electrod. something to do with some sensors

update. Previous problems: uneven idle and slight misfire upon accelerating from a stop, also underpowered when hot. Changed distributor boots: idle smooth and no more misfire, still seems to lack power when engine is really hot. Changed to Super 4: maybe a slight increase in pickup when cold and less power loss when hot but still power loss.

Not sure why there are 4 legs but the theory is that the plugs allow the spark to find the best way to spark. Seems worth a try and some members have found some improvement (although like mine it could be imaginary...... :))

Plugs like these are known for its superior anti-fouling capabilities..thats about it.
