I'm fortunate enough to have a somewhat intact original toolkit in my beemer, but because I've had an aquarium in my boot before (boot seal failure) all that moisture caused the tools to rust. This is a fairly common occurance on many old schoolers.

Here's the hardware all lined up ready to face the firing squad... I mean the dremel with wirebrush attachment

It's marvellous what milo... i mean the dremel with wirebrush attachment can do for you. It removes all the rust leaving the bare metal, without scratching the finish of the tool. Unfortunately, it can't remove the corrosion left behind by the rust.

After all is said and done... much better than before. Getting rid of that corrosion and restoring them to a showroom finish will be another story altogether.
