Oh ya, I heard that before from friends in Alor Setar. Some of them even send their car to SC in Had Yai for service. They said it is cheaper (not sure how cheap) compare to Malaysia. Had yai is 3 hours drive from my house. Maybe I'll pay them a visit when got time. Usually Thailand more advance compare to Malaysia when it comes to automotive things. Used to go there to get home improvement supply.
