BMW next service due..?

i was told by my sales advisor that my BMW has a brain of his own and will tell me when next to service the oil, brakes, etc..In i-Drive under vehicle information, i can see like, oil in 11000km, brakes in 45000km and etcive been driving the car for a week now and the numbers still remain the same...arent they suppose to decrease or act as a countdown to the next service? or am i missing something out here?thanks

It will decrease but wont be in realtime value. Like 10000km to go rather than 10530km to go
The computer will take in several factors to determine your next service.
Hint: Countdown will tick faster if you drive your car aggressively

I'm not sure how reliable is that on board computer to determine the service due date for each item but i'm quite sure that getting engine oil changed in every 15k km interval won't do good to the engine in long run. Can anyone advise if i can send my car for service at 10k km under BSRI instead of 15k km? Many thanks.
