Hi,I recently send in my car for paint defect repair. Was informend by the service tech that BMW have just released an extended warranty package with pricing since jan 2013. Was told that all f30's below 10000km can apply. Rm4800+ for 1 year and RM8K+(100000km) for upto 5years. Anyone took? I didnt yet...

I never spent more than RM4.8k for parts replacement in my car. Bear in mind that this does not cover consumables like tyres and fluid change.

I did. Paid 8900 for 5yrs BSRI coz divided over 2yrs (ie 40k), I could enjoy another 3 services plus worry-free on parts that may need replacing. But as bro lazzydogg & astroboy shared, it isn't warranty per se...but my SA claims they'd try best to repair/replace uncovered parts too. Hope it isn't mere lip service le...
Also, My ride would fetch a better resale value in the event of selling it within these 5yrs.

Being under BSRI will not give you better resale value at the used car dealership. They only care about year of registration. Even BMW Premium Selection will be the same. Actually, its cheaper to service the car properly outside as BSRI intervals are just nuts.

Voodoo, i took from wearnes rm8852, given me only two services extra. U bought from which dealer. I need to request extra 1 service.

They also told me, service interval every 20,000km.

I beg to differ, tIANcI. While i was hunting for a e90 back then, I was willing to fork out the additional 15k for a peace of mind, even if it was only 1-year remaining warranty, instead of the others which has expired theirs. But then, maybe it's just me.

Bro free808, mine was from ingress auto. Maybe it's bcos my service interval is 15k instead of yours, 20k. My ride is 320d though...I'm not sure whether is it not the same, sorry.

It would be good if we can ask BLACK AND WHITE as to what this extended warranty actually covers. From my experience, PLENTY of lip service when it's time to get you to buy.

BMW full of lip service. Met a top guy from bmw Credit. Spoke about my car issues. He says where got problem? Car can go from A to B means ok la. WTF???!!

Ya its BSRI. According to the tech who cant even rectify my rear knocking sound, he said it includes free service upto 100000 km (20000 interval for each service), changing disc brake all sides once, and covers transmission and engine problem. I have not seen it on black and white

ohh... so for the petrol variant they have drop it down to 20k service interval?
for the diesel variant its 15k service interval.... :top:

BSRI does not cover engine and transmission problems. You best double check ...

i think we should all print this page before they am mend it... :D

What does repair mean? Free labour or includes the parts? Must go ask BMW to clarify ... repair may not mean replace. But again it may ...

Before committing, my SA emailed a similar info as what bro lazzydogg gathered. She did implied that as long as my services are done at ingress, they'd never decline any replacements or claims within the BSRI period.
In the event they go back on their words, rest assure I'm gonna flare at them thru stickers on my whole car as what my ex-colleague did with his accord till the media comes.
