BMW E36 EGS location

Hi all, Sorry but i got a noob question here. Can anyone tell me where's the location of the EGS?http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=CD22&mospid=47447&btnr=24_0955&hg=24&fg=20since I was reading this old thread here and I saw a post by alvin-g http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?6142-E36-gearbox-warning-light/page3, I found out that my problem seems to be quite similar to his hence I want to try and give this a try first before finally raising the white flag. As much as I want to do a conversion to manual, currently abit tight financially so no choice but to give other options a try first.Appreciate the help guys. Thanks in advance.
