Hi,

If I buy the ATF fluid from spare part shop and ask workshop to change the ATF should be no problem, right? Need to do software reset?

Thanks

Change ATF no need reset ECU. ECU only know that you not supposed to change ATF.

It costs Me approx 1k to replace the ATF fluid, I changed it every 50k mileage.

Hi Gimli,

I did it in a workshop in Pandan Indah, my regular mechanic,

Technically speaking, even how good the German equipment or mechanics are, I don't think the fluids can lasts for years without changing,

Same goes to routine svs, I changed every 10k km or 6 months; BMW will tell you 25k km.

I notice much smoother ride after changing it.
