Hi, was planning to upgrade my current ride and this E92 model is one of the cars under my list.So just started to dig some information from seniors & forumers here before I confirm anything. The common engine spec for this E92 is 320 / 325 & 335. 1) Engine power (hp & torque)Of course 335 with its twin turbo would be no dispute the best here. But how bout 320 & 325 fares? Is there any tuning , upgrade option for 320 & 325? I'm not really a need for speed guy. Just hope my rides has sufficient power for a fun & zippy drive. I'm happy with my car power now, the 180PS Polo GTI.2) Maintenance Again, I think 335 should be the highest maintenance too, ryte? But does it really has a significant different compare to 320 & 325? Or the maintenance is not too much of a difference among this 3 specs?3) Fuel EconomyMy daily driving will be 80-90% driving within the city - Klang Valley. I don't travel out station much unless on major holidays trips. So will the FC has any major difference for this 3 specs?4) Handling & comfortDoes this 3 specs shares the same handling set-up?The suspension setting is same for all 3?My current ride - polo GTI 1.4 I'm happy with its handling, but the ride comfort is quite bad for our msian road. This is one of the reason I'm looking for an upgrade ride that has handling but doesn't sacrifice too much ride comfort.5) can't think of any thing now, will update it later if I think of it.So hope to get advise & feedback from seniors & owners of the E92. Thanks

Bro, of course 335 is the top & the best. But I've got to consider maintenance cost too.

If you are looking for a weekend car, i would suggest 335 as it is powerful and meant to be pampered since you are concern on the maintenance cost and so on as the fuel consumption on 335 is on the high side but if you are looking for daily drive with smooth sailing and not to speed the line 6 N52 325 would be the best bet...though torque wise not so impressive but it does the job while already at higher speed and straight line.

But if you want powah, 335 is the best bet but it commensurate with the maintenance cost la...the maintenance cost would be the same on the similar part 335/325 has got but any related cost to turbo related and fuel consumption would be best regarded with 335.

From my limited knowledge, it's still ok, you can't go wrong with a 335, i am driving a 328 and always look up to the sky at the 335

Go for E93 325 which is on sale around 135k now.. it offer NA low maintenance yet enough power for city move about. It also able to go topless over the weekend. 335 is the ultimate bad boy!

don't buy 335..lots of problem, high maintenance, high fc and on top of all, lots of headache from continuous racun and uncertainty of what to upgrade next :p

SB, the racun is flowing like blood in you. Your signature alone is like our shopping list already...

Anaksarawak - E93 it's the cabriolet version ryte? I don't think this is practical in m'sia.

Silver Bullet - the racun part I've already expected. How bout the alot problem parts? Is this true?

Btw I was searching through carlist.com.my just awhile ago, I noticed that some E92 325 is price higher than 335. I come across a 335 priced at rm185k only.

Anyway any members here driving E92 320 & 325? Wanna get their opinions on this 2 specs.

E93 is hardtop bro hence its both a coupe n convertible and 135k maybe 125k for 2007 is definitely a good buy

calling bro consoglieri and our CM fadhlan..afaik they are the 2 guys in this forum who drives some really cool e92 coupes other than the 335i..

Not really that cool compared to your 335i SB he3...
If you want the ultimate driving machine, put aside the M3, get the 335i. Mod wise, the torque and power would go beyond the M3 anytime (might get some bashing from the M3 guys for this statement he3...)
For cruising and feel good factor, get the 325i (comes in either 2.5l N52B25 or 3.0l N52B30). There's nothing to fault at the N52 engine. Maintenance wise is straight forward, no issues.
As for all NA engines, mods for power is limited. You may have to spend tons of money for little improvement.
But...there's nothing that beats the feeling of driving an inline 6 BMW car.
Stop thinking, and go test drive a few e92s....all the best bro.

Thanks for the reply n comments.. First of all, I visited 2 dealers in Cheras, for E92 325, but salesman not keen to let me test drive unless after I placed deposit..

Ok, it's good to know that the car is not problematic & infamous like VW's DSG.
Hmm.. I come across this few in carlist. Is the price reasonable?

1) BMW 323I 2.5 E92 (A) COUPE, (2nd hand, year make 2008, asking for rm143,800)
2) BMW 330I SE E92 - COUPE - 2007 - RECOND - UNREGISTERED (rm 160k)
3) BMW 335 E92 SE 3.0 2007 - Recond & Unregistered (Rm185k)

Seems like the price for 335 not so bad?

I would go for 325i and above. No 2 & 3 looks reasonable. First of all, get the VIN no of the car and do an online checking on the actual make and year through the VIN no.
Try to go for MSport version if it's available. Try and research on MSport trims and when you go for the car hunting, check on whether all the accessories are there.
BTW, our CM Fadhlan is selling of his car.
Do take a look.

IMHO, all the mods are there for you.

Oh. I think when I'm browsing the car for sales section I did come across this thread. Just that I didn't raise any enquire to the seller cause I see that it's posted in feb. So I thought the car should be sold by now. Thanks for the heads up. I've pm the seller.

For 323 & 325 it's basically running in same engines? Just different tuning? Cause i checked wiki seems like both same engine. So if its the same engine, does it means that 323 can be tune 325 performance?

If you have set your heart on e92 the best u can find is fadhlan's it come with lots of bmw performance parts

I think the car is still available and IMHO it's the best of its kind in secondhand market.
The 323 and 325 runs on the same based engine which is the N52. However to tune the 323 into 325 is not that straight forward. Have not researched on it but my guess is different headers, disa, ecu etc2 and the list goes on and on.
Test drive a standard one, then Bro Fadhlan's car. feel the difference with add ons BMW perf intake, exhaust and pbx.
