Removed ecu, read ISN from ECU on bench using Gbox2 and IM608 (connection diagram is on the programmer),(taken pic of isn), reinstalled ecu, went to IMMO on 608, did AKL and entered ISN from ecu, used "code via programmer", inserted new into xp400,key data writes back, key coded, starts vehicle, but had red steering wheel light on dash, did elv syn. ✅JOB DONE!. The total time taken from start to finish was 40min..(including removeing and reinstall of ecu)
Do not use the isn from cas3 unit, it has to be ISN from ECU. I learnt the hard/long way on a previous job....lol
Hope this helps someone.... as you guys have helped me...

Hi, I'm new here. I'm sorry if I posted wrong place. I d own an F10 bought used from my bro in law which is still relatively new as is still within warranty period. So far so good. Already fall in love with BMW. Recently I have a thought of wana get hold of the 1 series 116i manual as I'm a manual lover. So would like to ask how is the maintenance of this model? What's the pros & cons?
