With regards to the question posed by Bro Eugene in our earlier video, what we can say is don't entirely believe what your SA or car salesman tell you.
For most bmws, its either "auto", "manual" or "unselected".
The so called advice of selecting 'manual' will, in the long, leave you with the problem of mold buildup or some of you might call "funky smells".
The logic is simple, when you use manual recirculation mode all the time, the air is recycled from within.
You will encounter a lower oxygen level and of cos a buildup of moisture from the aircon.
So what happens when you keep having more n more moisture within the car?
Well, it doesn't take a scientist to tell you that mold will start growing and you will soon have weird smells.
The most common reason ppl tell us why they use recirculation mode is because they do not want to smell the exhaust fumes etc thats outside. Our solution is simple, just use a better aircon filter media like our Hengst PM2.5 Activated Carbon Cabin Filter. With that, you can safely run on Auto Mode, get more fresh air in and by doing so, you are getting the moisture out of the system, thereby reducing the buildup of mold.
Our advice is, whatever the SA or car salesman tells you, take it with a pinch of salt and learn to make a better informed decision based on facts and logic.
