speak for yourself en.mizhan

Best used car dealer? You mean, one that is good and does not cheat? No such thing, they all cheat, they all are bad, not sure who'd still consider buying a car from them. Their job description is to cheat.

Remember: used car dealer and words like: decency, good, trustworthy, reliable and similar ARE CONTRADICTION in terms.

p.s. rumor has it, most taxi drivers are retired/retrenched/sacked second hand car dealer sales staff and other way around.

Trust yourself and do checking with experience hand for the technical spec

Survey for it and hopefully you will find honest car dealer. Not all dealer are bad. Happy hunting...

I don't! but too bad I don't sell cars.. even if I do, the business wouldn't last long because customers will still say I cheat and start to cheat on me to claim parts that wasn't faulty in the first place.. :(

Guess where do car owners trade in their problematic car to? So cant blame them entirely also. :smokin:

I agree with genius328i...as a potential buyer...we all need to be diligently careful hence the saying...caveat emptor - let the buyer beware....

So regardless of which dealer or end user we buy from, always excercise caution and be detailed enough in the selection process and get a trusted mechanic/experience hand to check it out.

Even when we buy from someone we know, he/she may have taken reasonable care of the car but the moment the car changed owners, murphy's law may kick in for whatever reason and things started to fail/breakdown.... so, really, as long as we do our due diligence dilligently, we have done our best and the rest is...when it happens, just treat it as wear and tear, thats the risk we take when we get a used car. Ce La Vie

Thats my 2 cents opinion. Happy Hunting and enjoy the hunt along the way, it enriches the whole experience.

From my experience,

there's a saying "poor man pays more"

so you'd like to consider spending just slightly more with BMW Malaysia dealers or recon dealers that offers extended warranties....

From my most recent break down, I manage to get my car up and running in very good condition for free just a day before the annual dinner.... (pheww...)

the experience from when my car broke down, towing, technician telephone conversation, professionalism, and BMW Malaysia follow up to ensure good service from the dealers are of premium quality.

I know that we've heard many remarks on dealers doing cons here and there... but I did notice the significant change as all dealers in Malaysia are being watch closely by BMW malaysia.....

so, yeah, go to

Auto Bavaria

or Quill

But i'd recommend quill as they manage to hook a very detailed (fussy) personel to join them in their service center... ;)

None of those u mentioned above supported our recent Annual Dinner despite our approach. Give Ingress Auto a chance because they very supportive of us and has so far provide very good service to most of us, be it pre or post sales.

I am very surprised and disppointed to hear Auto Bavaria & Quill declined to support our recent Annual dinner despite being approached by our Managing Committee (MC) and BMWCM being also a member of International BMW Club council. Annual dinner is a once a year affair and now having heard from one of our MC that said dealers turned us down, I am sure this news will not go down well with members of BMWCM.

Collectively BMWCM as a club with its thousands of members (OM + Club guests) is a force to be reckoned with. Don't ever under estimate the power, strength and word of mouth through its members.

Well, the above is my personal opinion and let's hear what other members have to share.
