yeah...stoptech i like. It cost much lower than the Bimbo definitely due to Brand Name. I am leaning towards the Bimbo for its Monobloc quality and probably better resale value.

Having said that, the Stoptech is the most value for money i'd say. It has quicker access to brake pad changing since its not monobloc like the Bimbo but its pedal feel is very OEM-like than Bimbo. Stoptech was founded less than 10 yrs old but Bimbo has been around for 40-50 yrs and proven racing track record.

Stoptech is quieter than Bimbo if you're on Cross-Drilled and original 1000 brake pad. Unless you go for 2500 Bimbo brake pad + Slotted rotor will eliminate most noise ppl complaining about. As they say, "Noise to Performance". How true i dunno, but any 6/4 combo will bite harder than our OEM when traveling at high speed.

I am also looking at Stoptech and Brembo, my heart goes to the Bimbo but my pocket not deep enough. Still thinking of Stoptech, sign...i like the Yellow Stoptech looks pretty darn good! Go for it.

I get the following quote from S'pore reseller.

Brembo - SGD9500
Stoptech - SGD8000

But if you can import fr US direct, Stoptech would be around USD4950 after disc but shipping not included.

Thanks for the comments/feedback. My sentiments exactly! The Stoptechs are a tad cheaper than the Brembos. Some have even reviewed its performance at par if not better than its competitors in the same price range.

You know any local [as in PJ/KL] importers/suppliers and what their price range are?

Anyways, the setup is for my ride [click on my signature below] and hopfuly here's how it'll look after the upgrade...

Based on the recent ///meet at Saujana, majority of the 46/// were on Brembo's. I have not seen any on Stop Tech. I do know that Enkil is on AP Racing.

Have you tried looking for alternatives like Wilwood or Alcon?

Alcon 6-pot with BMW Motorsports floating rotors (345mm) is about USD2900 not including shipping and tax (if any). The kit comes with steel braided brake lines, Hawk pads and mounting brackets from UUC.

Have fun :)
