Battery light comes out and gone after I off and on back my engine. Please advice on what is happening or have any one here experience this issue.

Anybody have any idea? ...sifus....out there....now the indicator 100% light up. Could it be my battery or my altenator.

Try

Bro, previously, I've seeing this kind of failure but my ride is e36 318
dono izit similar case with your ride. My indicator light up permanently
and I've tried to do some DIY. First thing, what u can do is, if you've
owned multimeter, try to do measurement on the battery to ensure
that the voltage of the battery is range 11.5v to 12v, if below than
that, considered the battery no longer can be used. So, I've decided
to change for new battery, after that no more problem encountered.
May be other Sifus can give more advices.

p/s: Pls do not delay to replace the battery, its might will affected ur
other electronic stuffs.

Agree with bro azam. Before you start the engine, measure the voltage at your battery terminals. It should indicate 11 to 12 V. With the car engine running(altenator charging), it should be higher(12.2 - 12.7V). Batteries which hold less than 75% of the rated voltage(during s/by) are deemed goner and needs to be changed. Some shops sifus have the habit of pulling out the terminal when the car is running, BEWARE!!!!! that is extremly unhealthy for the car. Their reason is mostly to test the altenator charging capability. It is a true fact, but not suitable for modern cars.

Last time my battery light on was because of the failure of alternator. After changed to a new alternator...everything is okay now~

Thanks guy's....went to my mach and tested that the alternator not charging. The test machine shows voltage only 11 ~12 volt where charging will go up to 14 volt as per displayed on the device.

Sometime the alternator can be repaired depending on the damage. Usually, it is the diode bridge that is kaput. In the alternator, there should be 3 sets of diode bridges. Any good auto electrician should be able to find where is the fault and should be able to repair it.

Sometime it is better to get a new alternator if you can afford it or find a cheaper solution by getting a recon unit or from the chop shop.
