This morning water temp pass middle point when car at idle , not use A/C ! Then I move the car and temp goes down but again late afternoon after heavy rain , went to Carefour and it just so quick pass middle point, rush back home.I found Aux fan just sit do nothing when temp get high.1.Turn A/C - fan run low speed 2.Short between cable on temp switch for high/low speed - fan run high/low speed. Must be the temp switch ,sunday late afternoon, tomorrow have meeting in Cyberjaya.I dig some info from web and decide to bypass the fan resistor on low speed. Now when I turn on A/C , I will get high speed all time.

at high fan speed... does your engine overheat ?
seams to be that there are other problems maybe ?

hope not and will monitor ....

Park car outside Subang Parade with sun on zenith. A/C on and after about 15 minute temp gauge pass middle point ! Aux fan high speed ! mmmmmmm

Late afternoon , check the coolant system and yes too much air inside, bleed.

Check again the Aux fan switch, and yes it turn the fan now just before it cross middle point.

Will monitor again for something I don't like to know about it...

change your thermostat. it's gone already.

how to diagnose?

take it out from your car.
boiled water in a pan. when it's boiled.....throw your thermostat in....
wait and see if it opened or not....if not,,,then it is time to change.
it's cheap... around 30-35RM....

don't forget to buy a rubber o-ring also.....3-5RM

I want to share my experience with you. Actually, I managed to solve my problem. Thanks to my Peake Research Fault Code Reader! A couple of weeks ago, I drove to Putrajaya. The aircon fan was producing the lawnmower effect all the way. Surprisingly, on the way back it was back to normal. When I checked with my fault code reader there were two messages:

1) 0B Engine Coolant Temperature, Radiator Outlet.
2) 7D E-Fan.

These messages were not there when it first happened. They appeared only after two to three days. I went to see two mechanics and one aircon expert before this and all of them suggested that I need to change my aircon fan whis was going to cost me RM1300 brand new or RM400 from kedai potong. Later I did a MODIC test at a local tyre shop near my house and the they also discovered those two faults. They managed to reset the "7D E Fan fault" but not the "0B Engine Coolant Temperature, Radiator Outlet". Later I changed my Radiator Outlet sensor which cost me RM160 and paid RM30 for the MODIC test. Total cost RM190. Total savings RM1110. The air-con fan was back to normal until today.

Conclusion: The air-con fan might not need be at fault. It could be something else which can be translated to a lot of savings.
