The ASC+T & ABS warning lights of my E39 came on this morning on the way to work. I've not gone to the workshop to check yet. Anyone here have similiar experience and what could be the cause?I wish it's not going to burn another big hole in my pocket!

NEver had this problem but i think can just simply reset it. No worries. if not then maybe a sensor. Hmmm must be to high RPM all the time. Told you not to push till 14000rpm dun wan to listen lar. :p

Come to think of it, I "accidentally" went into the twisty bits leading towards the Ulu Yam dam while looking for a client's office on Tuesday, & I was enjoying myself a bit!

Looks like the same problem. Heritage carried out diagnostic check on Friday & showed "faulty right wheel speed sensor", changed the sensor but lights came on before I even reached the main road. Turned back, carried out more tests but no avail. Will go back today to check further.

The symptoms are :

1. No lights on in the morning
2. Lights come on after about 4-5km
3. Speedor meter & fuel economy meter stop moment later

You have no ABS in your kart so why bother in your car? :)
True also............but my 14,000rpm machine handles better my E39, so no need ABS, ASC, ESP or whatever!

Yeah, the modic also showed RH sensor fault. Anyway, I have driven more years without ABS and ASC so what is another few months (to save up enough for a new ABS controller) then it going to be sold. Shhhh cannot let him hear nanti merajuk lagi.

Hmmmmmm, had some problems with my ABS too. There was no malfunction light. But when I tested my ABS recently, the car skidded to a halt. There was no pulsation feeling to indicate that the ABS was working.

Let my mechanic to check the system when I serviced my babe last Saturday. Saw many error codes... forgot about the details though. Reset the system. Yet to test the ABS to see if it working though. If it is givingthe same problem... yikes... another big hole. But what the heck, have been driving cars without ABS... so no big issue to me.

By the way, would having tyres of different rolling circumference between front and rear affect the functioning of the ABS? I do know that it does affect the ASC if the difference is more that a few percentage.

I had an experience once when my ACS+T and ABS light came on. It really felt like my wallet is going to go. It happened when i went thru a large patch of water during the rainy season last month.

All went well then sudddenly at night the lights came on. Too late to call Heritage so drove around with the lights carefully coz tried jamming the brakes and it screeched to a halt with lots of rubber smoke at only 40kmh!!! So made it a point to drive carefully.

Called Heritage the next day and made an appointment. Then miraculously the lights went off right around noon. William said probably water got caught in the sensors. It just needed time to dry out. Then found my ABS main sensors were not very reliable and needed replacement soon. Drats!!

this is sooo familliar. how much did a new ABS sensor cost?

Sorry for the late replies. Been busy lately.

Didnt change the sensors thou. Heritage says there're still functional. Can be replaced if I wanted. Never gave me a figure. They just said 'Few hundred dollars only!'
