Another problem. The sound from the instrument cluster happens randomly. Clicking sound like a relay on/off or signal light sound. The headlight switch was not working well previously (loose). I changed it yesterday. While driving or when the car is stationary, this clicking sound emits. I think it is related to the alarm that buzzes when you forget to switch off your headlights after removing your key.I tried the following:1. Headlights on2. Switch off ignition3. Removed keyThe alarm buzzes inconsistently.I have a feeling something is not right with the SI board. Been checking the forums and found some issues related to this and points to the SI board.anyone can help troubleshoot and if there is anything that can be fixed, how much? *scratch head*

suggest that u relook into all the switches/ contacts after you have painted your car.. some might not be fixed back nicely..

regards

problem solved:

Found out there was some leakage due to grounding issues. When engine is running, there was some power passed to the headlights. The bulbs were lit but dimly

Found one of the the grounding points in the engine bay lose. Removed it, sanded it, sprayed WD40, re-tightened the nut and problem solved. Phew...

Almost got another instrument cluster just because of this stupid thing .... grrr
