guys,a fren told me that they already have Apex'i S-AFC for continental cars. it suits most models from BMWs too...anyone mind to comment on that? anyone tried out already?

eh... I think you could hardly gain any from the SAFC... it serves as a piggyback, mainly to trick ECU to run leaner or richer based on your setup. It's great for forced induction's but for N/A, u might gain a few ponies, if any at all...

Just my 2 cts... :p

true mate,

but i reckon the piggyback unit would be useful when it comes to light mods. perhaps to compensate a/f for free flow header etc...

was kind of suprised that japs now innovating into the continental market. heard that HKS Fcon also coming out to suit bimmers..

Seems to be a natural progression for the Japanese now. And why not, since the cost of Euro tuner stuff is just so high! Its not completely new, though. I remember seeing a 1999 HKS US catalog featuring one of their cannon exhausts (Hiper?) for the E36, with a pic. Looked so ricey though!

guys,

i had a ride in my fren's E36 328i manual trans tih Apex'i AFCselect last night..got his car tune by ourselves wide wideband with leanest air fuel at 12.5 ...dunno whether its save but the response or the rpm needle climbing was great, much faster then before. tested the air fuel before tuning, the leanest was at around 11.4.

anyone has got idea about this issue?...

By the way, what should be the correct ratio? I am running a bit rich thought i have not done any mods, unless u consider converting from auto manual as a mod lah. I suspect the the AFM is at fault. Exhause tip always have carbon deposits.

:) guys..is it possible to use Apex'i's pen shaped turbo timer on bimmers??
planning FI for my ride and this unit came to mind due to its simplicity in design.
