oh sifu...
after a year i drove my e30.... the air cond started to give problems... ok find... that time i still duno anything about e30... so i sent it to a/c shop for service.. they add the relay for me and modified the wires...

until one day, few slots of my fuse box melted...
i feel really bad on it... so now since i'm free so i plan to replace a good condition fuse box on it....

other plan ??? oh don't have ar... just wanna touch up the wiring only... just bought the a/c wiring... but since all my a/c wiring has been modified & the metlted fuse box.. so just plan to change the wiring and the fuse box looo..... make it like stock lol...

don feel good seeing my car full or relay stick on the chassis....

i've bought every thing... but i'm really headache when looking at the fuse box... u done it before ??? mind to give some advise ??

Thanks alot...

Hey Kinaka,

Same thing happened to mine. I've seen flames :D

Where did you send for A/C repair?

Cheers,
Geo

if ur car is m40 type, it will be easy, there are sockets to connect body to engine to fuse box

aircon is actually separate system, only if done by bmw mech that know or knows how to trace wiring

melting has got to do with overall current.
suggest you check your charging system, voltage, ground

if your model is pre-87, or local 320/323 then all wires are connected and only way to get it to stock is to rip all wirings from engine to fuse to body electrical, then get a set......

i only know certain wirings not all

all i wanna do is to change :-

- engine compartment wiring, ex:headlights,horn,compressor.. ...
- Engine wiring connector to the fuse box..
- wiring from fuse box to A/c heater housing, (becoz all my a/c switch connector on the a/c heater housing have been modified)

yes its m40 wiring, and now i putting in the m20 motronic wiring..

geodesy,
i sent my car to one of the electrical shop in segambut last time....
flame ??? i saw mine too... hehehe.... so hows ur car now ???

Looking for a wireman? Check out Richard of Milan Motors in Tmn Sg. Besi, owns a metallic silver e30. He's been babysitting my ride since '01. :D

Hi Kinaka,

Mine not fixed yet. Got it temporily fix and had been sitting on it till now. Observed the fan is not moving now and thought of checking it. Then shockingly found that the heat has eaten up the fuse + cables... guess flame is pending soon. Can you share your repair experience with me? Can you PM your contact number please?

Cheers,
geo

Kinapa..

why, why, why ?

why must you complicate things further ?

your car is a m40b18, then slot in a m20b25 engine, now want to change the secondary wiring to a m20 type.. the motronic wiring is totaly different from the m40 right to the rear lights.. it means re-wiring the whole complete car !!

are you insane ? unless you have a donor car.. then find a wire-man to it, strip it and re-wire it.. at least 2 months, faster if your wallet is deep..

the front loom of the m20 motronic is complete with the front fuse box to the rear..even you cutting and re-connecting it might burn your car..:D even that the m20 motronic wiring uses the 'check-control' system.. If it suceeds, then you will be first one to have done it.

listen to teejay, sell off that car and buy another m20 car..

regards.

hmmmmm.......looks like a project for me.......
M40 B18 to have the overhead check-control working....hmmmm

now to find a donor car that has a m40, and wirings from another m40b25 car........should be a piece of pie for mme........
