Anybody has replaced the crankshaft sensor

My car has a history of engine shuts down n difficult to start which now the mechanic has diagnosed as crankshaft sensor faulty.Anybody has replace it and how much would it cost?I was quoted 400 ish as cost of replacement by M Zone in Kota Damansara!

reasonable. auto bavaria quoted rm350 for crank sensor. but got kedai sold it rm290.. but last year story.. 2011 diffrent price mayb..
m50/m52/s50 used same crank sensor.
chop shop mayb below rm200..

I feel M Zone is overpriced, the follow were the damages

Crankshaft sensor RM455
Labor RM80
Labor Petrol Smell RM 40
Modic RM 50

Total RM 638

Just buy the part directly from Bavarian Auto. There's a branch in SS2 same row as RHB bank.
