Hi all! I had a problem.. Yesterday, my battery was flat, and today I replace it with new battery. At the moment I connected the new battery, the alarm started sounding. I am able to start the engine. According to the manual, I have to deactivate the alarm before start the engine. I've tried to follow the procedure in the manual to deactivate the alarm (wait up to 15 minutes until the LED stops blinking, but it doesn't work). So what should I do. I do not have the small key (emergency) to stop the alarm. Mine is E36 1996. Thanks for your help....

What alarm do you have in your E36? Mine is a Cobra with a single button remote. If I reconnect the battery the alarm will sound and the doors lock and windows goes up automatically(dont ever leave your keys in the car). I have to make sure the doors, boot & bonnet are all closed and then press the remote. Doors will unlock and the alarm turns off.
