Need help....some kind of whirring sound appeared every time the acircond is switched on....the sound becomes louder with higher RPM....:(

Check fan bearing (may be damaged) and belting (too tight). It happen to me before and changing the bearing solved this as the belt was newly replaced and delicately adjusted.

Aircond lagi

TQ Sgkuriang...maybe U can tell me how much will it cost..esp the bearing..just recently changed the belt.....Mechanic told me symptoms of bearing worn out, among others, would include some kind of friction sound upon ignition. My 325 (e46) gives no sound anyway.

your fan bearing or carbon bush is the problem.. send to a BMW air-con specialist..

Aircond again

Tqs Pussy...Any BMW aircond specialist around that U can recommend. I live in Klang but work in Bangsar....I normally sent to BM Auto (Segambut) for servicing.

I had similar problem earlier. Sent to M1 Segambut and adviced to change the compressor. Managed to get recond compressor...problem solved, at least for now I guess
