Hi fellow gurus,Is recommended to start the aircond automatically when you startup your bimmer?Mine is a e90 with push button startup and the aircond starts up automatically during car engine startup.Should it be a good practice to let the engine warm up first before startup the aircond? What your take on this?

You got all sorts of take. There is a school of thought that you should leave it off so there is a lower load upon start up. Some do not switch is on esp on the first start up of the day. My habit is so have it off but thinking logically ... how much load is there from the aircond? It cannot be that much, if it were so then driving without the aircond would see a significant difference in the FC.

The AC generates very minimal load on modern engines with over 100bhp till it doesn't make much of a difference. But if you're someone with OCD in trying to keep your engine wear, fuel consumption or electronic damage at an absolute minimum, then you should switch it off.

Curious question, for those UDMs with digital auto AC, is there any way to stop the AC from powering on when you first turn on the ignition? Is there any software configuration that can be set to keep it off till you manually turn it on?
